About DevEpi

The Developing Epidemiologist, or DevEpi for short, is a blog about Mike’s experiences while living and working in Latin America, along with his developing career in Epidemiology and Medical Anthropology. It includes studies of third world peoples and their cultures, travel narratives, expository pieces, opinions and reflections on international health development programs and efforts, public health commentary, and personal reflections. Although it has gone through many incarnations (from travel journal to personal narrative back to travel journal and many places in between), it shall remain in its current form indefinitely.

Mike tries to post substantial articles once or twice a week, and will perhaps intersperse one or two opinion pieces on other bloggers’ writings.
